On my 964C2 I've always been very happy with Conti; currently running Michelin Pilot Sports (N rated) and they seem very grippy and progressive; on track 1st April so better impressions then.

Not sure about SO2s on track, but for the road, they suit the car perfectly. Smoother riding and quieter than the Michelin equivalent, not a major consideration in a 64RS I know, (but it makes the car more tolerable over long distance m/way drives IMO)

MPSCs and S02s are worlds apart in terms of on-track limits and ability.
