Are all 993 C4S Varioram and where are they anyway?

The C4S will always be more than the C2S - it comes with turbo running gear and brakes. The C2S has the turbo body only - unless upgraded or specc'd differently at birth. (c4s also 4wd)
I think you'll pay north of £30k for a nice S of either varierty. The non S cars (which are lighter and feel purer to drive according to some) will be cheaper - a good one will be around the £26k mark.
Good luck, they're great cars if you find a good one - i had a non S for over 5 yrs and loved it. Make sure you get any prospective purchase inspected by a reputable specialist. Theres lots of discussion on here re: what to look for on these cars so do youre homework. Finally, i'd be tempted to post the details of any car you're considering - someone may know the car and be able to steer you.
Cheers

To coin a favourite baldrick phrase:
That would be about as rare as a rare bird in charge of rarity at Oxford University before she left to go to the UN in to run the Department of International Rarity.

Thanks for the advice - much appreciated.
Who are the recommended Porsche inspectors or does everyone use the likes of Peter Morgan/Adrian Crawford? Any suggestions and approx how much do they charge? Personally I wouldn't buy a car without getting it inspected first.
What's the general consensus on buying higher mileage cars (80-90k miles)? Will these be due top end rebuilds or is that variable depending on how its been treated etc.?
Also if anyone has a car they're considering selling then by all means feel free to send some details.
I used to live near Ian Anthony's workshop in Bury when I was a young nipper - Ever since seeing 911's in the 70's outside there I have always dreamt of owning one!
Soo many questions.
Cheers
