I had a plastic bumper repaired on my SL after the garage door frame jumped out and hit it. I understand the body shop melted plastic into the wound, smoothed it out and then painted it.

It was more of a gouge than a crease but I suspect most body shops these days are proficient at plastic bumper repairs on the basis that most bumpers are plastic.

I am guessing that the paint itself is not broken at all? In this case it is very possible it 'may' come out depending on how bad the crease is. Sometimes 30 minutes in front of an Infrared heat lamp can cause the most horrible deformation to just spring out

If not, then a flexible plastic filler can be applied to the crease and reshaped before fresh paint is applied. Contact a local S.m.a.r.t repairer or bodyshop and don't be fobbed off if they straightaway say you need a new bumper.
