I have just bought a 1998 tiptronic 996, full OPC history. it is going to be used every day as a "normal" car. as this is my first porsche I have been reading up & I checked the RMS thing, it ws done 3k miles ago, last service was at 59K and cost £5000+, but he did get all brakes renewed and a new set of turbo 2 alloys.
Is there anything I shold be looking out for? & is the OPC warranty worth getting?

Thanks

Personally I was grateful I had the warranty as I had to use it. I'd get it, though putting similar money aside for repairs could be a worthwhile alternative.

RMS can strike more than once, but as a recent thread on here says it's not the end of the world, and highly unlikely in your case.

Happy Driving

I needed two oxygen sensors, which had failed. I was also advised I needed a coil pack, as it was a matter of time before they failed.

OPC replaced both under the warranty, I've since extended it.
