997 quality? Water leaking in, coolant pi**ing out
Discussion
When you say 'good luck with the claim', would i need luck? Have i been using the wrong sort of water to wash the car in? I have a 38 yr old Morris Minor i can wash by hand, and get this, the inside dont get wet when you rinse it! As for the coolant leak, is there a way the dealer could hold his hand out for the repairs?
Probably just need some adjustments to the glass - no dealer would refuse unless you imported the car yourself. As for the rad leak - one of 2 things. You were ragging it and have holed a rad with a stone, or more likely, loose connection/clip. Again dealer will oblige unless he can see it's accident damage.
I have always found Porsche to be good with my cars even when imports (3), though they have all been from with the EU (so they should be treated the same as UK C16 cars).
But even so, even down to the extended warranty, I have never had so much as a gripe.
So maybe I should have said "I hope you don't need good luck to get this sorted".
And no, none of my Porsches have leaked --- not even the Boxster S'

The car was new from a S East OPC, so import issues are non applicable.
The leaking window is the small fixed rear O/S window, and water trickles in about half way along the top, and as for the rad, i have had a good look at it and it is perfect (as you would expect for a car with 2k on the clock), and the fluid seems to leak from the under tray in,front of the wheel.
And just another thing, the dealer who i spoke to on Saturday with 'theyve all gone home, i ring you Monday morning to see if the car needs recovering' as usual, never rung! Another day, another dealer disapointment.
