I have a small issue with my 993 hood ..... hopefully ??? and need ungent help (sorry for the long post ):

So I pop out this morning and put down the roof no issues at all come back home and press the lock button on the remote and door shut but no roof closure

so get in try to close it with the switch on the centre console nothing not even a click

next call local opc, about as much use as a chocolate fire guard

next look at micro switches both ok but a bit dust so clean them still nothing so undo bolts and put up roof manually fine, press lock button and the two roof motors lock the roof down yipee me thinks so at least they work !!

So chancing ones arm press the undoo button for the roof and it goes down (so the roof motor is not buggered ... probably) but bloody wont go back up again so repeat above paragraph and roof is locked down

I have checked the obvious and the fuse is ok so is it

A : The relay

B : The switch that has broken just the up position ( I have had window switches do this)

C : Something extremely expensive I can't think of

Help Guys its driving me mad ........

Could be any number of things. When you say the micro switches are ok which ones were you refering to, the ones by the windscreen top rail (when the roof is closed) or the ones on the right hand gearbox (more likely to be the cause of the problem).

Could be the roof control relay pack, could also be a problem with the handbrake switch. Try those for starters.
