Best Place/Way to sell 996
Discussion
Moving to London this year so will have to get rid of the 996
Was wondering if anyone knew of an easy way to sell it? Not trading up or down as Soho is not car friendly. Tried Pistonheads so far and emailed Porsche dealer with details (from thier website) bu no response. I'm not desperate to get rid but it's becoming a bit of a pain. 1999 C2 33kmiles hoping for £40kish BTW
Cheers

Autotrader / Top Marques is probably the best bet.I was looking to sell mine back in the summer & found this the best for response.Tried Sunday Times, not so many calls & was expensive.
Other option is porsche post with 6 week delay before it comes out,but free to PCGB members.
I sold my last 911 by word of mouth, the guy who serviced knew someone who wanted it,so try that route.
There is a 911 classified website with quite a few cars on it...hopefully someone else will have the URL.
Finally I am in the city & use a bloomberg terminal....this has a classifieds section which is accessed by some who may want to spend £40k on a car.
I would be happy to post an ad on there with your contact details if you would like & the best bit is it is free!!!

Hogan - did you post it on PH classifieds recently? I couldn't find it. It may be worth submitting a classified ad with pic, as I saw a '996 wanted' post - so buyers are out there. It was over 28 days old, though.
Please note that Ted doesn't really want classified ads in the forums, and relaying info to Clubsport here could encourage it. Emailing through profile would be better if poss.
Moderator's hat off now!
Good luck with the sale

It's started.
Hors d'oeuvres zat must be obeyed at all times

I expect nothing less than discipline on this forum, although I'll entertain references to UV's 'hooker and cocaine' city boy antics

I sold my 993 TT last month after 2 months of trying. Used Top Marques which was good but expensive and Sunday Times which was useless and very expensive.
Finally advertised on www.911uk.com the response was excellent and it was low cost (just a charitable donation up to max. £25), that's where the eventual buyer saw the ad.
Good Luck
