Looking through this forum I can see that there are a number of mythical or just plain odd Porsches. My question is though, what is the weirdest Porsche you have heard of?

If possible, supply info and pics.

Strosek might be a good place to start. Typing strosek into google images brought up this for instance, one of many:

It has to be one of the various oddball military vehicles. Type 597 Jagdwagen would be a good choice:

It's the second one down. An amphibious Land Rover type vehicle for the German Army, with 4WD and a 1.6 engine from the 356. It didn't get into production, but Audi bought the 4x4 technology and developed it into the quattro system.

And you thought the Cayenne was the first...

Wow that Strosek fell out of the tallest ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

What about a Porsche Tractor?

The 930 Slantnose Targa was also "interesting".

Failing that check out some of the Gambella cars - especially the bling bling Cayanne.

Porsche Panamericana. A present from the factory to Ferdinand Porsche for his 80th birthday in 1989.

I can't believe no-one's mentioned these yet. (Insert gag here about them being water-cooled.)

Didn't they make one with the engine located beyond the rear wheels like a Volkswagen Beetle?
