They changed over my discs and pads recently. Huge bill. But less than I'd have paid at an OPC...and the quality of the work is identical. They'll tell you if what you need doing should only be done at an OPC - or they'll do it for you more cost effectively.

I was pleased with their service. They even washed and cleaned the car!

They are also reasonably conveniently placed for me - closer than the OPCs, anyway.

Always very pleased with Northways - helpful and thorough, won't do anything that doesn't need doing and they're reasonably priced even for a specialist.

Top marks from me. Servicing always up to scratch on the Boxster. 996 should be going their way as well.

Another recommendation from me.

Bought my 993 from them and they were a pleasure to deal with.

Will be taking it back there when it needs it's first service.

Sound like they are very good mecahnics. Not so sure about sales. Went to see them a couple of months ago and was disappointed with the condition of the stock ie. lots of snags. I know its customary to leave some for when customer buys but visually put me off, eg. rust spots, dirty, broken bits etc.
They were clueless as to customer service, ignored me when I arrived, and when looking around. I wanted to drive one, but they were too busy...
Take this as constructive criticism, if Ray is watching.

Hmmm....snap. They won't see me again, but they may prefer it that way!

Its true that they aren't born salesmen but I quite liked the fact that I could look around as much as I liked and that there was no hard (or even soft) sell. I was also allowed to take cars out for a test drive but I guess as their main business is servicing this will depend how busy they are. Also from what I can tell the prices generally are very competitive on the stock they hold. Each to their own but I enjoyed dealing with them.

They sure didnt run out to me when I arrived either but I approached the guys there when I needed a car opening or the test drive and they were perfectly fine and helpful. They are mechanics (and bloody good ones as far as I can tell) rather than sales people and I enjoyed the change.
