Spray my nuts?!!!

Surely the paint will just get scraped off when you use the wheel brace/torque wrench/spanner/air gun/whatever to put them back on? Even if it's a very good fit there'll always be a tiny bit of movement between the nut and the tool.
Could end up looking worse than they do now, but I suppose you'll only be in the same position as you are now if it doesn't work.
I'd suggest trying a heavy duty enamel based paint - something like this (but not white obviously!) - www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=11182
Let us know how it turns out, might have a go at this myself if it works well.

these can corroed like hell,serviced a 993 a couple of weeks ago and changed them for new ones,£80 a set from porsche but you should be able to get them cheaper if you shop around.
Apart from the Docs nuts being rotten , for which theres no cure ...........Halfords satin finish does the job for a while and buy a special wheel socket with a 'soft ' centre will keep them ok a bit longer ..............if u ve got as many old ones as i have , no thanks Doc, run 2 sets, when u change wheels stick the freshly sprayed ones on ................THERE is no everlasting solution unless u use steel race nuts = no paint !

I think i have an idea that might b usefull.
spray them or paint them or what ever but then u can get a piece of sponge a thin 1 and u can wrap it arround the nut b 4 using the wheel brace i dont know it just came to me as i read ur thread so it might b worth a try hope that was helpfull

My nuts are rotten, but not as bad as yours.
Wouldn't stainless steel nuts look OK then? What go to the hassle of repainting them all the time? Just wondering really.

Second that, remember you can only see the tops of the nuts anyway. Rub yer nuts with wet and dry and spray the halfords satin on!
