Hi - would appreciate any feedback regarding potential independent inspection of a 993 cab I am very interested in, located in Kent. Trawling through past posts I have seen recommendations for Philip Raby, Peter Morgan, and JZ Machtech. Any views on those, or other ideas - time is inevitably of the essence!
Many thanks,
Ian

Peter Morgan gets lots of positive mentions in Porsche Post so could be a good bet. Don't know where he is based though.

I had Peter Morgan check over a car I was selling on behalf of the new owner, and he was very thorough. No idea whether it subsequently fell apart though.

Have been on both sides of a Peter Morgan review and have been pleased with his attention to detail. he is based down south and am sure he would cover Kent. Alternatively get the OPC to do their 111 point check which could then allow you to take out a warranty (depending on what you are buying). I have a copy of a Peter Morgan Report you can look at if you want. Drop me a mail.

Thanks very much for your responses guys - i have managed to book Gordon Wingrove, who works in partnership with Peter Morgan (www.petermorgan.org.uk/inspection) Sounds really thorough - hopefully not so much that it puts me off completely though!
Cheers, Ian

I also used Peter Morgan. I never met him in person but his report on the car was very good

Paragon can't be a million miles from you?

Unlikely to find a 993 which qualifies for an OPC warranty now (9 year age limit?).

Paragon don't do independent inspections. To get an OPC warranty, the car must be under 10 years old. The 111 point inspection doesn't check for prior accident damage, although you could have a word with the mechanic doing the inspection to get his opinion.
