Hi chaps
Following recent Nurburgring visit in my stock 996C4 I reckon I need stickier tyres Toyo R888 (thanks peterpeter) better brakes, and a baffled sump.
Does anyone have recommendation for brake pads, and where I can get the sump done?
thanks
Neil

For pads go for Pagid - try Blues to start with or just go straight for RS29 yellows. All race pads will squeal to some extent BTW.

Sump?? I'm baffled! What is that all about???

apparently without baffles in the sump, the oil sloshes about under extreme cornering g-forces and goes places it's not supposed to, resulting in smoking when the car is restarted after a thrash. Does this sound right? any comment welcomed

Unless you are a GT3 Cup Car running slicks and a seriously good driver, you do not need a baffled sump. Your current car (GT2/GT3 incl) will lose traction (and hence lose the G force) before it has any oil starvation problems - sticky track tyres or not ...

Also, most people run Pirelli Corsa or Michelin Sport Cup track tyres not Toyo - not saying they are not good, but there must be a reason ? :-S
