As title, is the colour of the red calipers on a 996TT (& other models) guards red? I will order paint stick if it is, as I have a chip on one.

I've got a guards red 993 and the big reds aren't the same colour, they're a tone or two darker than the bodywork - can't comment for 996

I think you'll find that you need to get RAL colour number 3020. Morrelli's or somewhere similar will be able to knock up a tin of touch up paint.

You ought to use special caliper paint as its more resilient. Apparently.

Go to Halfords and buy their Brake Caliper paint.

I used it to touch up a chip on my Boxster S calipers.

It's an exact match

thanks box, I am going there today anyway so will have a look (is the colour called anything or is it just red caliper paint ?)

Nope just 'Brake Caliper Paint' Red. It's in a 250ml silver/grey tin.
