Hello guys been browsing the forum for a couple of days thought its about time i joined!!!

I ordered my first porsche in Jan (due to be delivered next week) its an Artic Silver Cayman and i must admit i cant wait ever since i started driving its been my dream to own a porsche. Hopefully this will my first of a long line of Porsche's.

A question for you experianced Porsche drivers, when i speced up my car i didnt include mats or coloured wheel creasts what are the chances of my OPC giving them to me for free?? one problem might be that i dont think my salesman likes me to much.

Good choice!

I suppose you've got to just put the question to them, but I think it's unlikely they'll give them to you for free.

I wouldn't worry about the salesman not liking you, there's plenty of them to deal with.

Enjoy the car!

you didnt mention the letters R M and S in a loud voice in the showroom did you?

that reminds me actually I nearly got killed yesterday by RMS, yes near death I tell thee.

some building company locally, called strangley enough, RMS, white transit van, 30 mph speed limit so he was obviously doing 50 mph, swerved out the way of a cat (or mabe a dog) running onto the road and was heading right for me!! good job i was in the 911, just managed to stop as he went by on two wheels millimeters away whilst talking on his mobile phone.

but the name of the company made my chuckle even thought the driver was a fat spaz.

How did you get stuck with a salesman that doesn't like you? It took visits to 11 OPCs to find one, but I finally managed to find a dilligent, friendly and hardworking guy when I bought my first Porsche. It was like looking for life on Mars, and I almost called NASA when I found him. He didn't give me much of a deal, either - but at the time I just wanted a friendly face and a call back now and again.

You're probably screwed on the footmats/coloured crests. The time to do this sort of thing is when you're ordering (obviously). Though if he thinks you'll be back to buy your next one, a suitable combination of innuendo/puppy-dog eyes/threat may yeild a partial result.

Quite correct about hard nosed idiots frequenting OPC's but I only visited 3 and then came across Stephen Dennis at OPC Tonbridge. Nice guy, patient and takes your money with a smile

Mats were £108 from memory so don't hold your breath on the freebie potential.

Welcome aboard the PH club

Coloured crests are £100 or so as well, so that's £200 quids worth of freebies you're looking at. Everything is possible however, I managed to get them to offer finance at a 5% deposit that I was told they couldn't originally get to. However, they were trying to match the terms I'd been offered elsewhere.
