C2 Facelift for sale - What's it worth?

I have seen the following for sale at Northway and wanted advice regarding pricing i.e. is it over/under priced or about right?

Model: 996 C2 Coupe 3.6 (2002/02)
Price: £38995.00

Description:
Black metalic with full black leather interior.41,000 miles with full opc service history.6 speed manual transmission,aluminium handbrake and gearlever,PCM/sat nav,3 spoke steering wheel,elec memory seats,PSM/traction control,obc,18 inch carrera alloys,one owner car.

Any ideas?

Good spec sounds a nice car as long as you dont intend to do to many miles.I would'nt pay more than 35k for that car if i was in the market for one.For that kind of money though you'd have to go private,or auction for even less.
What ever you decide only buy one with a porsche warranty and dont let any garage bullsh.t you differently.

Seems big money for a Northway car. I don't reckon it's worth more than £34k.

Any car is worth what you are willing to pay for it. If your asking the question is it worth this much? Then you obviously don't think it is, so haggle or walk away.

The new 997TT will be out soon and it will offered outside of OPCs at 10k premium I'm sure,just as the V8 Vantage is right now, is it worth it?

I don't think so, but you can bet somebody will be paying a premium to be first to own one.

I thought the independents were nice chaps these days and only opc asked you to bend over and ready to take it hard up the ....?
Not all dealers are tts one guy i know gives very good money for the cars people p/x,maybe the guys only got a couple of grand margin in it anyway.
Its still to much money anyway,plenty out there.

Despite the general consensus being that this ones a bit overprice, there aren't any cheaper ones around at dealers. In fact there aren't many early facelifts around on the market at all (except cabs and tiptronics). If I'm wrong let me know cos it's what I'm looking for.

strange thing about cars in general is the cheaper ones are often cheaper for a reason, they have had repaints, history incomplete etc etc

I'm looking for a facelift too and I see privates from 38k up. There is a price gap from face lift to the previous 996, it's all opinion but I rather like the light set up and restyled interior and so on.

BTW theres a Silver one with 14 months warranty on the classified section ? Has sideskirts and spoiler too .... Looks Nice !

I've fallen into the trap of an ever increasing budget. Fits I start out with 30k, then I want a facelift so budget foes to 40k. Then I want one with a GT3 Cup body kit or 4S so it goes even higher. Now I'm at the point where I think I may as well spend the extra and get a 997.... I am now thinking I need a sudden rush of sh*t to the brain, start being sensible and come back to planet Earth.... Ho Hum....

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone what to sell me that elusive privately owned car?

I have an ad in the wanted section but on the basis not many people look there I may as well repeat what I am looking for:

C2 - late pre facelift or early facelift
Colour - Black, blue or seal grey (not silver)
No GT3 bodykits or spoilers. Manual.

Can anyone help?
