Much as I would like to buy a 911 of any vintage I can't fit in! The limited steering wheel adjustment means I can't get my right knee under the steering wheel on any model. Has anybody solved this problem by getting the driver's seat re-aligned?

Afraid not. Take a look at who does aftermarket smaller diameter steering wheels and see if they can both supply it and fit it woth a longer hub.
