I'm just about (Fingers crossed)to go view and hopefully purchase a 1992 964 RS approx' 38000 miles, allegedly a fully stamped Service Book, had everything its ever needed only 2 Owners Blah Blah, all this from a private individual so no OPC or independant backing, although I'am having the vehicle fully checked before hand, so with what I read about the seemingly dodgey old bag 'O' bolts the 996 is What sort of problems are or where with the 964 and do you think If I took it to an OPC that I could get a proper porsche warranty or would they say Noooo!!! its to Old

From the horse's mouth, as it were:

"Every Porsche Approved used car comes with a 12 month Porsche factory based warranty covering the cost of most parts and labour for major repairs in the event of your Porsche developing a mechanical or electrical problem.

Not only that, but you can be assured that the parts replaced will be Original Porsche parts ensuring they are as good as the original parts on your car.

You can then renew your warranty each year until your car is 9 years old or reaches 125,000 miles."

Regards

Dave

i did a search a few weeks back for 993 on the OPC site, just for fun. Found one! looked in super nick ut not sold with OPC warranty as L plate 1992. Stirlings also sell all their cars witha 111 point check done but only the under nines come witha warranty. chances of you getting a warranty on a 964? - zero.
