Hi, i heard about Adrian Crawford at performance2and4 who offers to source cars to order. i am currently looking for a mid to late 80's carrera and was thinking about getting intouch with him.

has anyone here had any experience with Adrian, good, bad or otherwise enlightening? anyone a view how this compares to the prices at an established independent dealer? many thanks, anything will help

Adrian has been in business doing the same thing for at least 15 years that I know of and carries a very good reputation in our area. I almost bought a car off him once which he described warts and all. I chose not to buy it but someone much less honest could easily have glossed over the warts and I would have been none the wiser until the problems started.

He is also very highly respected amongst the independent Porsche fraternity and has written extensivley on the marque.

I bought my first 911 from Adrian Crawford in 1997 .Absolutely dead straight bloke.
You may aslo want to speak to Mark Pearce , Stirlings , Tel. No. 01736 757755. Bought a GT3 from him in January. Another absolutely straight dealer!

My car was originally imported by him, seems like a good one.

Bought a car through Adrian. He found exactly what I wanted and is a good guy to work with. Highly recommended.

thanks, that sounds quite encouraging. what other ways to find a very good 3.2 could you recommend (for someone who's in central London and doesn't have a car to start with, making moving around a bit cumbersome...)?

My 1990 C2 was originally imported by Adrian. Lovely car, full history, include TUV papers. I would recommend as I still have his little sticker on the rear windscreen
