Ad below found in classifieds.

This always makes me laugh. How old would your 911 have to be for this car to "eat" it ? A 1970 2 litre T/E maybe.

I suppose we should take it as a compliment that the 911 is used in this way as the benchmark.

Nice car, but not a MODERN Porsche eater, but I suspect would have been good enough for anything but the 928 and turbo cars of the era?

When I joined my current employer in 1986, the company directors had 4 of those 400! (Nowadays they all have 996s of course). They were quite nice to drive actually, but didn't feel all that quick.

Good question SuperR, thanks for the concern.

I've only ever met Scottster & Domster, Domster for about 30 seconds, when Scottster picked up his 993 from my good self. The only driving they've ever seen me do was 100 yards up the road to the nearest garage as obviously I'd drained the tank before he turned up, and the battery was flat.

I did almost lose it over that speed bump about halfway up the road, though.

I thought your driving was OK, those speed humps did look a bit tricky I was in the Lotus Carlton at the time, if I remember!

Cheers
