Picking up my Cayman on Friday and thought a wise precaution would be to buy a road angel plus. When I had a look at a few web-sites I saw the normal caveat that reflective windscreens / heating elements etc may affect performance of the device. Does anyone have any thoughts / experience as to how much this is an issue?

RA classic can work anywhere in car you choose to site it
and still see display,

If you buy the re-radiating aerial

(magnetically clamps somewhere on an upturned panel of the car)

I've got the Road Pilot Micro Go and it works fine with the heated windscreen of my DB9. Sometimes it takes a bit of time until it finds out where it is but it never looses its signal when on the move.

is a part of the glass near it blacked out then,
as that means (apparently) its (heated element) free

I have not got car back yet although the original problem has been fixed. There is now a new problem as it appears part of the front suspension may have been damaged when the vehicle was put on the recovery truck.

Have had my RA+ on the dash of my Cayman since January and it works fine.

I'd hoped the problems people had experienced a while back with Cayman's had gone away now as Porsche had identified what is causing them, but this doesn't appear to be the case. Mine hasn't missed a beat so far so perhaps it's a random thing.
