997 GT3 vs. Nobel M400

OK guys, which would be faster around the track? The new 997 based GT3 or a Nobel M400. I think the prices are very similar. Porsche might be 10k more.

Difficult to say, and close enough to be dependant on the driver. Also depends on whats been done to the noble e.g. more efficient intercooler etc. so that it can consistently make it's rated power on track.

They will both be amongst the quickest non race cars you see on a track day.

Depends on the circuit too I'd say. Tight and twisty, the Noble will take some beating. Fast and flowing I'd say it starts to go in favour of the GT3

Well yeah, endurance and reliabilty wise the GT3 wins hands down. Depends what you're looking for.

An M400 is 70k?

Anyway i reckon the M400 would be faster but I still wouldn't buy one in preference to a GT3

The Noble does have 400 hp/tonne and costs 56k. That's some respectable shiznit.

I have to say the 997 GT3 has brought me back to the Porsche fold. I was growing luke warm to the 911 series until they unveiled the new GT3 pictures.

My friends Noble 3R was almost as quick as my GT2..... so the 400 would be significantly faster than the GT3 IMO..... The handling on the Noble is fantastic too, so reliability aside, I would say the Noble for sure......
Reliability is another matter - my mates went back after the front wishbone/hub assembly fell apart.......
