964 / 965 Oil Filter Location Please Help Me

Hi there, many thanks for taking the time to read my question, I hope you can help me.
I have a 964 Turbo (965) 1994 3.6 litre, I have changed the oil, however I cant find the Oil filter, would someone be able to describe to me where it is and what it looks like please.

Right hand side of engine bay, white or black (usually) cylinder, just in front of the oil filler neck as you look at it, it shouldnt be hard to see? wonder if it has been covered with something???

If you get really lost then look up inside your O/S wheel arch, you will see at the top the oil pipes and a round aluminium boss with pipes going in to it, the oil filter is on the other side of that boss.

Hi there, Many thanks for that, had a look, however cannot see it there, I have just read an article that says it may be underneath the car, any ideas???? please?

I read it was a 964 not a 965 Doh!

Its at the right hand side underneath, its a lay on back job i'm afraid!

Hi there, I have found it and replaced it.
For anyone wondering where it is located, here is a better description of where the filter is located.
It is underneath the car on the right hand side.
It is in line with the rear of the rear wheel.
It is part hidden by the exhaust when looking directly upwards.
The best way to see it is to lie face up with your head in line with the middle of the rear wheel, using a torch you will be able to see the bottom of it only.
You will need a spanner or oil filter strap to undo it as access is very poor. An oil filter chain tool will be too thick to get round the filter as there is not enough room.
