The lovely chaps at Ninemeister have just fitted a Xenon kit to my 993 and I must say, the results are superb. Now, being a fussy sod, my driving lamps (half beam/bumper lights) are now white/dull compared to my main (not full) beam which are a lovely blue tinge!
I'm sure I'm being incredibly sad but does anyone know, are there any bulbs for the driving lamps in a 993 that are more in keeping with my lovely blue xenons?
I really should get out more!!!!

Oh any my Cargraphic exhaust arrives next week. Yippeeeee!!!
Cheers chaps,
lee

Blimey, you must live in San Francisco! Can't remember the last time I had cause to use my fog lights...

Seriously, fog lights produce a much wider beam than dipped headlights. I wouldn't have thought oncomming traffic would be that pleased if you change them to xenon. Besides, driving with them on when not needed is so Fiat Punto...

Elfer I'm confused. I'm not talking about my fog lights. Just my half beam lights when you drive at dusk. They're on the bumper, right?

Stouffer,

I fitted a Xenon upgrade to my 993 last year and agree it is money very well spent. The parking lights do look yellow, especially when viewed alongside the crisp white / blue Xenon headlights. The easiest fix for this is to swap the parking light bulb for an LED.

Here's a link www.ultraleds.co.uk
and here is what you need 2 x (233) BA9 - 9mm BC 6 Leds White Bulb Wide Angle Ver () = £7.00

enjoy.

And SUPERWHITE bulbs for the high beam and fog lights if you want to be really bling. Make sure you make a note that the LED's are for a 993 - you need positive earth versions or you'll be shopping your wiring loom about (well, the plug anyway)

Why do you need positive earth versions? Isn't the 993 sidelight wiring the same as any normal negative earth vehicle?

Stouffer, maybe it was me who was confused. Alongside the indicators, The bumper has side/parking lights and fog lights. I thought you meant the fogs rather than the 5W sidelights.

The side lights (5w, in the bumper) are wired positive earth as are the front indicators. Rear indicators are wired negative earth. Only an issue if you use leds of course.
