944 S2 Heater Fan

Heater fan operating on full (4) only. I know its a common problem and remember I have seen the solution, inc pictures somewhere. Please point me in the right direction. Ta.

Raise hood, take off the wide brittle plastic cover over ventilation unit (congrats if you don't break it), take off the apparent plate (two screws), clean solenoids and connection plug.
Replace whole unit if cleaning does not help.

PS : are you sure it does not work on 0 too ? The blower always work when ignition is on.
