Just bought a 99V 911 C4S Tip Cab and need a bit of advice. I live in North Kent and would like some advice on servicing etc. Prefer to use a specialist rather than a main dealer. The car has split rims on it which are a little scuffed on the rear, does anyone know where I can get them re finished without being ripped off? One last thing, is it worth me joining the Owners Club?

Many thanks in advance

Damaged alloys can be done at many places, I have used Wicked Wheels (UK wide franchises I believe) Had all 4 done for £210 inc vat, great job too. All 4 had scuffs, 2 quite bad.
Kerbed one the other week so off to see them again this week !
I assume its the PCGB you mean ? I am a member & my renewal is up this month & to be honest debating about renewing. The Mag (Porsche Post) is OK but not that great. The 10% parts discount I hear is now being withdrawn by several OPC's.
There are track days / meets organised but (my fault) I never get the time to go do any of them so I am wondering if its worth the £53 renewal fee.

They are split rims so I assume the rim can be just taken off and replaced. Is this correct or am I just being an office worker?

If you've got the 18" sport designs (Porsche's split rim) Lepsons in Gillingham sorted mine out, no problem.

Yes they are the ones, any idea on price? I am in that area, who do you use for servicing etc? Thanks

I think it was about £80 a corner - they charge more for split rims. I only got one done and it was like new - perhaps they'll do you a discount for all 4? Service-wise, I stuck to the OPC up in Hatfield as it was a fairly new car. Good luck.
