996 Turbo...leaky rads

Anyone here tried to replace rads.

I've stripped the bumper and bits off and cleared all the crud away that accumulates and I have rigged up a pressure test thingy but I cant see any leak. All three rads smell like antifreeze and I know I'm losing water.

Can any one share their experiences with me, I've a feeling bleeding the air out will be a problem.

Had mine replaced under warranty as they had corroded. It is my understanding if they needed replacing due to stone chip damage the warranty would not have covered it.

i have replaced 8 full sets of three radiators in 12 months and have 1 in today for centre radiator they are CRAP ......do not think all problems are stone related because some are weeping from behind the A.C condensor radiator so a stone cant get there as it is covered by the A.C radiator.....

Replace all 3 of them and be done with it ...mind you its fairly expensive...

What causes this ? Is is build up of crud on the rads (leaves etc) that then rots & damages the rads ?

Hi mixture of both they are like a leave catcher on front....but i think they have a manufacturing problem....also people seem to put too much coolant in them...the porsche stuff needs mixing with water but people still pour it in neat....never have same problem on boxster or 996 and similar front end design.

Presurised the system and all three are weeping.

£900 odd for all three.

I removed a ton of leaves, fag ends and mud. The fins at the rear ends were caked in mud. The cooling efficiency much have been ropey.
