what’s your guess of # wet road days in UK ?

Not really sure where I am going with this one but I was wondering, all these super cars + all this rain. Personally I don’t see how a over 300 bhp rear wheel drive only car can compare to my 996TT in the wet and I figure in the SE of the UK on about 130 wet road surface days per year minimum.

What’s your guess on the days the roads are wet ? I know a GT3 RS is a more involving drive than a 996 TT but if access to it’s capabilities are restricted to being 35% less often is the benefit cancelled out ?

basically I think 4x4 is essential on a supercar in anything other than very dry driving environments.

I would agree but am biased. The fun I had provoking some twitching where there was standing water made me giggle. Really I'd like both a tt and a GT3RS!

Could be a dodgy topic to start up this one ,however i totally agree.On track 2 wheel drive uncompromised cars are clearly more fun and quite often quicker...on the road in usual uk conditions you need 4 wheel drive,some sort of psm etc to be consistently able to go quick.

In most of this country, 2wd is perfect for 350 days of the year.

Anyone who thinks they need 4wd and PSM to be safe, are probably driving beyond their abilities in poor conditions.

I better move to where you are then and buy a 2wd car...in the south-east of england most of the roads are rubbish and its poor driving conditions 50% of the time...if i want to go slow everytime it rains,snows,frost,i will buy an m3...
