Might be worth calling a few of the independent specialists. I know my local one had a couple of seats a year or so ago (both long gone) as they came complete with cars in trade in!
Many years ago I bought a Ford Cortina for £150, when I got it home turned out to have a stash of 'gentleman's entertainment videos' in the boot. Not relevant to the discussion but brings back fond memories!

He is only 14 months so those seats are too big. Really need a Porsche Prince
We do have a Maxi Cosi XP but I can't afford to wait until the car turns up to try it.
Otherwise I will be walking 6 miles every morning !!
(Now all I'm getting is "I told you not to buy that car!!"
I'll ring round the local independent dealers etc, don't suppose the OPC hang on to the old seats as they want to charge over £500 for £100 seat. Really don't think companys should profit out of child saftey. My Audi used to have a key slot in the glovebox for disabling the Airbags, makes great sense. Don't they make enough on the cars!!!

I know you've tried the Ebay thing, but try this link - the seat is not listed as 'prince, so might not attract as much attention. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-Childs- Last 'second' bidding is what's needed, and make sure you put in a reasonably high maximum bid..... £250 should be enough, and you may get it for a lot less, but dont bid too early.
If you do go for an ebay one make sure you snipe it.
www.auctionsniper.com is good if you don't have any software.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but this reminded me of when I bought a ford fiesta many years ago,and the horn did not work.I checked all the connections under the bonnet and everything was ok so took off the steering wheel boss(you pressed the centre of the steering wheel for the horn),and found a pair of ladies knickers hidden in the boss which was preventing the horn from working.Wondering how they got there and how odd it was I decided to investigate further and for some inexplicable reason put the knickers to my nose and smelt them to see if they were clean or dirty. The smell has horrendous!!!
Sorry again and back to topic a friend did have the seat(and also the porsche pushchair which fits in the boot of the 911)I want to buy the pushchair off him myself as I have a 997 and we have a baby on the way,but I will ask him if he still has the seat and if so will pm you.
Having gone through the somewhat challenging process of having to find a car seat to fit a 911 and eventually managing to source a Porsche Prince car seat I notice there is one on Ebay at the moment in case anyone is looking for one. They seem to becoming harder to find these days.

For anybody looking for a car seat for their 911 I've put together a list of seats that other owners have said will fit. Some (all?) require the removal of the seat cushion for use in the rear.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195111916181
Britax Duo-Plus
Britax Evolva 1-2-3
Britax Evolva Plus
Britax 2-Way Elite
Britax Kid Plus
BeSafe iZi Comfort X3
Mamas and Papas Pro-Tec (Discontinued)
Maxi-Cosi Tobi (Discontinued)
Bit more context and info via my profile.
It's an evolving list and happy to have any feedback from owners - I've never quite manage to catch a 996 myself, despite having looked at plenty.
Regarding legality of the Porsche Prince Seat, that one on eBay has an R44/03 label which is still one of the current legislation standards. I wouldn't carry my children in a seat over 10 years old, but legally, assuming the child is the right weight for the seat (9-18kg) you'll be compliant.
