5 Lambos and my 996 in Mont Blanc Tunnel

Just got back from an overland trip to Corfu full of many highlights:
240k on the clock south of Stuttgart on the way down. Too fast for the other traffic so didn't do it for long
Stunning scenery through Austria. 28 degrees, top down and snow peaked mountains
Attitude to the car in Corfu was briliant. Drivers waving and letting me out of junctions. Unheard of before. Kids taking pictures with mobile phones. Everybody wants to talk to you. How much, how fast. Not one hint of jealousy or likelyhood of a key down the paintwork. Why can't the UK be the same? Saw a silver UK reg 997 near Aqualand one day. Anyone on here I wonder?
Corfu roads are not suited to a lowered Porker
On the return I went back through Mont Blanc and as I queued for the entrance I sat behind 5 Lambos of varying types. 50ks earlier I had filled up with 100 octane in an Italian gas station and the attendent was rambling on about Lambos and now I understood why. They do sound gorgeous. Some plonker followed me through the tunnel sitting about 1 metre from my bumper in his people carrier
Now they all seem to do that but in the tunnel is a little dangerous. Signs all over the place saying keep 150 metres gap, do not exceed 70ks etc. Retribution was served at the end of the tunnel however when the Gendarmes, who had obviously been watching on the cameras in the tunnel, pulled him over. I suspect a full body search was about to ensue
Becker SatNav was brilliant and never went wrong anywhere. That takes a huge pressure off the navigator who has trouble remembering which way to turn when she comes out of a hotel room in the morning
Great trip and I'm now really jelous of everyone else who is doing similar this summer.
Best of all the car never missed a beat in over 3500ks so a big up for the raliabilty of the 996 tip.

Who was driving.....Miss Daisy ?
Miss Daisy was sitting next to me trying to get in the back at the time which was loaded with luggage.
With very few people doing over 160k it was not safe to drive at that speed for too long.
