993 - anyone not like their RSR exhausts?

If anyone doesn't like their RSR exhausts and would like to swap back to standard n/a 993 exhausts please let me know. I find it unlikely, but you never know

Gents, sorry if i am going over old ground here...

I had my first (much anticipated) shot behind the wheel of a very nice 993c4 at the weekend and overall thought it was great. BUT, I was bit disappointed with the sound of the car. Maybe I was expected something else but it seemed just a bit rough and noisy. I think I was hoping it might have been a bit more distinctive and (maybe) tuneful. The car I drove had a standard exhaust.

These RSR mufflers you mention, do they go along way to improving the soundtrack, and in what kinda way ?

For ref, the only porsche I have owned before was a 987s boxster.

Any thoughts / feeback much appreciated.

I can't comment on the RSR boxes, but my Turbo (Turbos typically don't sound as good as their Naturally aspirated cousins- the Turbo-compressor set up typically muffles the nice exhaust exit pulses) with Gemballa boxes sounds incredible, like a pure bred 1980s Endurance racing machine!

I've got them on my 993RS. Sound is incredible. Often stopped by P owners 'what have you done......' Big volume increase on acceleration, little to no increase at steady speed, lots of crackle and pop etc on over-run/de-celeration.

Yep, I've had my RSRs for over a year. I've had lots of compliments and they definitely make the car sound like you would expect a 911 to. I've recently added a Motorsound airbox for added grin factor.

As usual, do a search for this topic - the RSRs are popular, I like my Cargraphics, and there are some other trick systems as well (Ruf used to do a switchable system for the 993 IIRC)...
