Another boring zorst upgrade question (Sorry)

A pal of mine has just put a set of 'supercup' gt3 style exhaust tips on his c2, and I'm in shock .. The sound upgrade is unbelievable ,for the price (euro400).
Granted I'm used to my stock exhaust , so this might be why so little can impress me so much(!), but has anyone else done this mod, think it's crap etc?

Just the tips ? I am surprised the tips made any difference to the sound.

Sports exhaust is essential, up there with petrol.

Yeah , just the last foot of pipe (for sale at 911 design), that's what shocked me.... I know it can't compare to a full sports exhaust, but there's still quite a noticeable difference , more 'burble' at idle and angrier and rawer at higher revs........ I was amazed.
