20,000 Mile GT3RS

Having fallen in love with my recently aquired RS a friend is now looking for one. There's a 20,000 miler on PH Classifieds. Anyone know it - it appears to be in Belfast - or have any thoughts about buying one with that kind of mileage mileage - most cars around seem to have done low mileage in comparison.

I would not be concerned at all about the mileage. I am consistently told by the well-informed that GT3 engines are bomb proof. In fact, 20k suggests the car is a daily driver which can only be a good thing (20k miles on track over several years might be a different story).
Personally, I have always sought cars which have spent a lifetime on motorways at stress free revs, in which case mileage is often of less concern.

Each time I take it to the ring it adds another k.
I really should invest in a trailor!
20k isn't exactly high milage, allbeit high for this sort of car.
But thats still only 10k per year.
I use mine as a semi daily drive, it's serviced every 6k, it's under warranty. I clean and polish it nearly every day, so I bet my 15k car is probably in better nick than some sub 5k cars.
I'd say go for it!

saw that car and in my opinion its way overpriced. cardiff opc have a lower mileage one up for £67k that i think is the same age. this one being a private sale i would want to get a pucker check up done on it and slap on an approved warranty. total cost for that would be £1200 or more. then there's the hassle of it being in belfast. i would personally pay no more than £62 / £63k for that car. i've been looking at getting one recently as well so have done a lot of due diligence on these things. find out as much info on the car and the owner as possible. i've come across a few dreamer and fantasists in my search...

I've taken two cars home to Dublin from the midlands of England in the last year and it's been a real pleasurable experience , especially sza szaing thru Wales .. I'm sure it works both ways .. If you find a suitable car in Belfast , what better way to celebrate your acquisition than a long haul home?
Thanks for the input guys - which I've passed on. I must say that I thought as a private sale that car needs to be nearer £62ish but don't see it's location as a problem - if it's the right car it's worth travelling and I agree the journey back would enhance the purchace. Which is exactly why I've always factory collected all my cars and will be doing the same with my GT3 - despite jibes about being an unpaid (or, even worse, a paying!) delivery driver. Mates off to look at the OPC Cardiff 13,000 miler and then, at the other extreme, a 300 miler at a non OPC. Funnily enough the lower mileage one would make me ask more questions.
You have to ask the question why a 300 miler isn't in the dealer network....?
