NIP Received for speeding - 35mph in 30 zone. What can I do?

I got flashed at 7:23 doing 35 mph in a 30 zone. I have a clean licence and would like to keep it that way as I just collected my new 997S.
This was in my Evo before I plugged my Road Angel 2 in...strange road and I was late.
Do I:
1) Pay it and accept the 3 points
2) Ignore it and hope they don't follow it up (Thames Valley Police)
3) Overpay the £60 fee and hope it means they cannot cash it. I heard this can upset their "system"
4) get legal advice
Any positive suggestions welcomed.

Legal advice can't hurt if you're sufficiently motivated and don't mind the cost but that's up to you... Me, I'd just accept it, move on and pay it.
BTW - just read today about the woman who told a porky that it was a lives-abroad-friend of hers driving her car and not her. She intended to evade the points and fine. She got busted for it and was jailed. Harsh but definitely enough to not add that approach as a viable addition to your list...!

Was it definitely you driving? On that day, weren't you and a friend both using your car for short trips down that road? Because if you were, it'd be quite tricky to make out from the photo they're obliged to furnish you with, who it was that was driving....... Just saying, is all.....
Acccording to my wife....who is an advanced driver by the way (she asked me to inform you!!!!)......if you were caught at 35mph in a 30 limit you will be given the option of going on a driving speed seminar for half a day.
This will cost you around 50 quid plus the fine but you do not get any points.
She was caught at 36mph but she was not allowed to do the course.

the old 1 of i dont know who was driving is only good if you were in excess of the speed limit...
i have this "friend" and i i measn he was doing 70mph in a 40mph zone and used the old 1 dont know who was driving and his license got 3 points and a £60 fine....better than a ban..as far as i am aware the points go to the owner of the vehicle...

Ah well my friend and her sister in law genuinely do drive the same car, so when she (or one of them) got flashed on the way to mc donalds they really didn't remember who was driving. As it turned out, it's up to the police (or whoever) to prove who they're going to prosecute. It all comes back to the old innocent until proven guilty thing.
I think if you get caught speeding (as I was, 36 in a 30) you think that you should be entitled to leniancy because "you weren't being dangerous or anything..."
Thats a normal response and one that most people have. But if you get caught breaking the law it's bad luck and your own fault. You should pick your dummy back up and deal with it without trying to circumvent the law, you might get away with it, then again you might end up in court with another 3 points to add to your total.

its a sh1t system, the guy was caught on a technicality, ie exceeding an arbitrary number, i assume he did nothing dangerous or immoral and there were no 'victims'. he should do everything he can to wriggle out of it. i would.
