Those wheels, initially too 'hint of bling' are now bedding in: I've read three articles in as many days from Autocar, CAR and Top Gear and the lust is registering Defcon Locklear.

I am now convinced there is too much choice out there but this, this is the icing on the cake.

While I love grey as a colour on 911's, I kinda think that the 997 actually suits brighter colours better like red, yellow & dare I say it, white. On a 996 its the opposit, but I think the 997 just looks better in brighter colours, dunno why.

agreed though dunno why either, slate grey is one of my favourite colours on 996, red looks pants on 986/996 yet looks very nice on similar looking 987/997, bizarre

god I hope those wheels grow on me but nothing as yet

Agree also that the darker colours don't do the 997 justice. It makes the car look heavier, I agree the lighter colours do look the biz. Cobalt blue on the Turbo would look fab!

On the whole trhe Turbo loks sweet.

No doubt an incredibly competent car - the french magazine roadtest that I just read called it a licence-loser as the journo felt that he could get out and run faster when at the legal limit. However, those wheels are atrociously ugly to my eyes.

The 997TT at the Canary Wharf Motor Expo last week was cobalt, wore the colour Very well!

I think orange is better

I like understated - the 911 is understated relative to the competition and grey complements that. If I was flash I'd by a yellow lambo.

I am dying to see Meteor - and how this compares to slate...

Rich, I agree orange will look fantastic.......it may not be quite the depreciation disaster as in the past.......with the wide bodied 997 Gt3RS being available in orange and limited numbers, the cache of the RS may rub off to maintain value of a Tango TT to a certain extent
