My local OPC spotted it, the car also needs an oil pressure switch. Both are being done under the OPC warranty.

Despite the minimal inconvenience I hope all your thoughts are with me during these deeply troubling times.

As someone who FINALLY got my car's pressure indications fixed just yesterday, I feel for you (in a thoroughly hetro sort of way , you understand!).
There's nothing like getting the car handed back to you in pmo , the feeling of elation is worth the woe.. May you get it sorted post haste.

Let us know how you get on.

I appreciate you putting rms in the title , it saved me the bother ... whoops , I did it anyway

did the OPC spot the problem just as you where about to change the clutch ?

obviously not on purpose but also had the new clutch chucked in whilst they where doing it to save money ?

Genuinely got an RMS leak.

Mrs Torch asked what I was grinning about when she got in. I said I've got an RMS leak, pretty much ended that conversation.

Went in for a suspension squeak, they mentioned the RMS and oil pressure switch to me. Also got a recall on it.

Will try and get the clutch done 'on the cheap'.

They need the car for a couple of days to do the RMS, so it'll be after Le Mans.

A couple of quick questions Pony ,
Did you spot any oil leaking?
What's an oil pressure switch?
What did they re-call your car for?

Sorry bout the inquisition...

Not sure what happend in that post......

Anyway, I noticed a bit on the garage floor after a particularly high speed run. So I put a bit of cardboard underneath, and didn't see any more oil.

Not sure, just been told I need one, and that the warranty will cover it. Not noticed anything untoward about the oil pressure.

Re-call was for paintwork check, don't know the outcome.

I never mention it's under warranty until they tell me what needs doing. The I spring it on them!!!

I was wondering if it was piantwork/ rust. I'm having a go at trying to sort out tiny spots of rust on the door catches .. A common problem.. I don't know how successful I'll be ..

In the meantime , if you're shocked at how 'naked' your life is without your car , and surprised how quickly it's gotten deep under your skin , .......... well , join the gang.Shows how feckin ace a motor it is.

It'll soon be back to you mate , and better than ever.

Yep, will mention the door catches. They all have a 10 year bodywork warranty don't they? I know someone with a Boxster that got it done under warranty.

Looks like a couple of days walking the kids to Nursery!

It's back all done.

Mentioned the horn not working, they fixed it under warranty.

Got the clutch done too, does feel a bit lighter now and the bite is much earlier and sharper. So thanks RMS, for letting me get a clutch done on the cheap.

There you go.

Not sure what the actual fault was, didn't think the horn was covered by the warranty so happy days!
