911/928 Wheels
Discussion
Hi,
You will find that pretty much any Porsche wheels will fit... however beware. The big problem wth 928 wheels is front offsets. On the rear if it fits, you can use it. 7J up to 9J is fine on most models.
On the front, the 928 requires offsets of 65. On genuine Porsche wheels this is stamped on the outside of the wheel near the valve after the letters 'ET'. Wheels that have come off 911s will have offsets of 47 to 52 which changes the 928's steering geometry.
Personally I am currently using genuine Porsche Design 90s on my 928S2 which have a front offset of 52, and I've not noticed any problems (it's supposed to cause instability under heavy braking) but I would definitely not go below 52.
