On June 21st I will be joining Callum and all at Silverstone for a day on the grand prix circuit in my recently acquired Mark 1 GT3.

A couple of questions:- Anyone else going? Tyre pressures? Do I need to change the brake fluid to something more robust? Any other useful tips and words of encouragement would be greately appreciated.
Oh and one other thing......I know you shouldn't be timing laps but what would a reasonable lap time be? (Off the record naturally!!).

Brake fluid should be fine if within servicing parameters.

Don't even think about timing a lap. You'll contravene Goldtrack rules, the rules of the track and increase your chances of crashing substantially. Leave timing to the likes of Mr Rance

I had a session with calum at a previoud goldtrack day at silverstone. I very much enjoyed his coaching and gained a lot of speed. He does grab the wheel though, which I know can annoy people. (It wasn't to correct some terrible error, just to get the car precisely onto the line he wants in a low speed corner).

You'll have a great time.

p.s. if you don't know the track well, make sure you don't have your session with calum too early in the day or you'll waste some of the benefits of what he has to show you.

I'm there on the 29th. Not in a Porsche, but a white Integra. My mate Chris will be there in his 951.

Absolutely, if you're going to avoid fade you need good fluid and proper pads, the stock pads/fluid are not suited to track work and are the source of many of the "mk1 brakes are poor" comments - get some decent fluid and pads and you'll lap all day with great brake performance.

As for pressures - depends what tyres, if a track tyre then you may want to aim somewhere around 30 front/32 rear, if a street tyre then keep standard pressures (some people even increase them from standard - read this www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=206448 )
