Anyone had the rust around the door catches on a 996 or Boxster done under warranty?

Thought I'd read somewhere these were covered by a 10 year anti-rust warranty.

My OPC took pictures of my door catches when I had my last service .. in Feb!!
They sent the pictures off to .. somewhere .. I'm still waiting, but I've heard they generally tell you to bugger off .. I'd be interested to hear any success story.

Remember I said something about a recall on mine when it last went in. They said it was for bodywork but wouldn't say any more than that. I wondered if it was connected to the latches?

Will try when it's in for the rms next week.

Mines 'sweating' too .. But the mechanic said he has never seen a totally dry one.

Yep. Had the problem repaired on my 996 via Reading about four years ago (car was four years old at the time).
I beleive it's covered by the "anti perforation" warranty, which as you say is 10 years I think, so you should be OK. Apparently a common problem caused by flexing of the metal around the catch area.
