anyone know how many 996 gt2's were made and how many are still on the road?

given that people have always referred to the gt2 as the "widowmaker, i would have thought these would hold their value as others go to supercar heaven...

I don't know the answer to the question but given that the cars cost around £130k new and are now around £60k, I'd say they've hurt a lot of owners bank balances!
