944 Modified Suspension

Well just ordered complete LEDA suspension kit for my 944 units look excellent and are the track day rated ones should should be stiff enough.

One remaining question though, I have seen adjustable top mounts available from TransAutoSport in Cheshire and wondered if it worth putting these on at the same time as they are rosejointed and therefore alot stronger than the standard mounts.

Anyone have any opinion / experience in this area. they would only cost me about 60 quid per side and given I have just spent 700 notes on dampers am not too worried about the extra so long as I get the desired effect at the end of it.

had them on my 944 turbo when i had it many moons ago.I had koni platform adjustables on mine but the second i put rose jointed top mounts on it ruined them.They clanked and rattled like a race car,on track they were great but on the road forget it.
It had a sound like something was constantly loose on top of the front legs which drove me mad.

Fit the 944 Turbo SE top mount, availailable on most late 944s and signified by a spot of green paint. The rubber is harder, and hence less compliance. Rose joints are not for road cars, period.
