You were right. I LOOOVED that. Not sure what the car was. For some reason, I am sort of semi-convinced that it might be a BMW V12 LMR. I'm probably way out. Anyway - video put a smile on my puss, so thanks for that!!

By the way - on the Google Video page where the posted video was listed, there was a link to Tiff Needel's Top Gear test of the 965 Turbo 2 3.6. Paragon had the car last year and I wanted to buy it, but was busy buying my Brother a lovely '88 Carrera Anniversary from them (not a pressie - he paid, I just did all the work). When I came back to have a closer look at the 3.6, someone else had nabbed it. Anyone here? Want to sell it? Ever?

Something tells me he was familiar with the course!!! I particularly liked the huge skid mark on the road at the first sharp corner!

The front end looked like an Audi LeMans thingy, or a Lola, because of the raised nose and the louvered wings.

I would love to see that video. Could you please post the link up mate. I am hunting for my dream 965 too...

I think it is the BMW V12 LMR, you can just see the roundel (badge) on the nose. The wheelarch vents are in the right position too.

Does look a lot like an Audi R8 though, but I suppose that's prototype racing for you!

Nope - I am nigh on positive that dougc above was correct. Surely the fact that the car in the video is LHD gave it away guys (LMR was RHD, you guys are enthusiasts, you knew that).

I just followed the link above, and there was a little picture of the Pistaccio Green 965 with a caption "Tiff Needel blah blah'.

Edit - It's all different now. I can't find the video again either. Sorry 'bout that. It was there - honest. Has the link above changed? I have the original Top gear video (on video cassette), but have no idea how I could organise for you to see it.
