Thats like a willy wonker ticket.
As Bund said I was one of the lucky ones.....
I'm happy to repeat it here, as they're fabulous. If you assume everything else is amazing, the only possibly criticms, that reduce my enjoyment by 0.0001% would be:
1 - Exhaust note. We've done this one to death elsewhere, but they do not sound as good as the standard cars with the sports exhaust. Porsche have no plans to offer this on the Turbo....
2 - X Factor. Arguably, and only to a small extent, they lack the flair of, say, a 430. Frankly I don't care on this one, and prefer this to my 430. As an everyday car there is surely no argument, but even as a second car if you take a purely objective (ie not "I want to own a Ferrari"
view then I'd rather be driving the 997TT than the 430, whether in Berlinetta or Spider guise. I totally accept that 430s and Gallardo's have an immediate "wow" factor that the 997 lacks, but if I'm in the inside looking out - ie driving - give me the TT over either of them.
3 - Options. Gotta get the sports chrono pack (the overboost is amusing), and the short shift box. Adaptive sports seats are not bad, but can't remember getting much else.
p.s. The power upgrade will be available on 08 model year cars I understand. I look forward to it...

I remember having the sports adaptive seats in my 997 and didnt really like them. I never found them comfortable. Do you think it will effect re-sale if i just stay with the normal ones?
Not in the slightest....things like PCM and sports chrono will affect resale values, and other things like seats, even wheels, should simply make the car easier to sell (and may get you the odd couple of hundred quid), but no, don't see it materially affecting anything.

How do you find the seat? I always felt something digging in my back, i think it might have been pressure from the lumbar support?
Could well have been that - I put the lumbar support to the minimum and it feels good, prefer it to the seats in previous 997s (this is the first time I've had adaptive seats, did it on a whim when the dealer, who I trust on everything) told me to try it!

I think ill try sports seat but without the lumbar support maybe there will be more padding in the back without it.
On the contrary - the adaptive sports seats are more padded than standard sports. You can always adjust the lumbar support out of the way if you don't like it.

Anyone else gone for the slippery-diff?
I havent yet as the dealer said this would really come into play if im going to track it and im probably not or id have gone straight to the Gt3.
As for the seats, I had the sports adaptive seats on the 997 and even with lumbar on minimal i alway felt something. Plus if im not going to track this car regularly do i really need the the sport seat?
