RUF, one of Germany's leading dedicated tuners, is on the lookout for a UK importer- but has reacted strongly to a report on the internet that it had already signed one up, saying that talks had taken place, but that no conclusion had been reached- or was even iminent. Blah Blah Blah.
"The UK is the third largest Porsche market after the US and Germany, and it would make sense for us to be here," says RUF's sales and marketing manager, Marc Bongers.
But he adds thal Alois Ruf, son of the founder of the business back in 1939, was "very upset" to read that a deal had been done.
Bongers stressed that RUF would take care over who it appointed.
"You can be sure that, when we choose a partner it will be a very good one," he told us
