Ive collected my GT3 RS from Parr yesterday - it was pebbled dashed
by a gritter in Germany 4 months ago
under the Insurance its had £12,000 worth of new paint, stickers, headlights, windscreen
and while this was done the suspension/underneath was stripped , cleaned and re-waxed
its also had a stage 1 fast road set up !
the car drive like a limo compared to my other RS and driving the car back yesterday
I kept thinking about the posts on Pistonheads saying the RS is not a road car as
its too harsh ....... absolute twaddle !
these cars are becoming rarer and rarer with a few good ones remaining
the Turbo and C2s never made me smile like the RS and the thumbs up from your white van man says it all !
better than the W**ker signs i use to get in the Turbo and C2s !

Tim - Red or Blue on the RS?

I had a most enjoyable drive back from Parr yesterday in my GT3 with a (blue) RS alongside for part of the way - a cheery chat with the driver before we both moved away from the lights in a leisurely fashion.

I presume with 12k worth of repair to it your rs is no longer considered a good one?Maybe white van man prefers the subtle colour scheme of the rs compared to the lairy turbo and c2s?

Kayc

there was no body damage only stone chips over the front PU
the bonnet and under the rear PU
so it was cosmetic .. cant believe it costs so much

Are you saying that your insurance company coughed up 12 grand to have the car put right even though they won't be able to move the claim on to a third party?

How on earth did you manage to persuade them to have the suspension stripped etc. just because you came too close to a gritter?

Tim

I might turn out at Brands on Thursday, just say hello and maybe give you and Steve a few tips on braking points. Haven't seen you for a while, so hopefully catch up Thursday.

Cheers Jonathan

Very good thanks Dan. Really like it as a road car. Missing doing track days though. Maybe a come back next year. Just need to wait for an RS to come my way for £50k, shouldn't be to long now......

That's the ticket. Stickers are worth at least 10bhp. Have you got any flameproof racing gloves, they add 10bhp too?
