Sorry to hear about the CS, I trust you weren't hurt - I hear these cars are really strong in an accident. Shame you couldn't buy it back from your insurers and have a go at restoring it. Are there any photos of the damage on the web?

I would not have fancied a restoration without a new shell given the extent of the damage-the BMW having hit level with the B-pillar and caused extremely severe damage to the rear 3/4 of the Porsche.
Also the accident had somewhat traumatic consequences so I am not sure I would have wanted to drive the car again.
I did not take any photographs of the vehicle after the crash (owing to unconsciousness !) but it was on a salvage company's website for a while. I will see if I have got the url.
