Called the OPC today for the first time ever. Needed a £5 bolt for the rocker cover that I snapped last night. The aftermarket guys dont supply these sort of parts. Bloke in the parts department was very helpful, and basically said don't be put off if you have a "older car" (my 944) your still a customer and drop in anytime to see the dealership.
With customer care like that I'll be straight up there when the lotto win comes in this weekend for a new 911 !!!

I have just switched my OPC business to Reading today after really helpful guy in service. Compared to some other local OPC's

I never found a problem with Reading, albeit never used their servicing.

Strolled in one Saturday afternoon, dressed in best scruffies, expressed interest in a new Turbo,
"nope never driven one before".
"like a test drive?, when would be convienient?, I call you in the week to arrange".
called on Tuesday, all sorted for the weekend.
"sorry it's only a tip, I'll get you a manual in a couple of weeks so you can compare"
Sales no problem.

Ripped the front splitter off a few weeks back, breaking half a dozen of the plastic lugs that secure it. Went over, gave me a couple of bags for free. Obviously it's peanuts, but they could easily have charged a few quid for them. But it's little thing like that, that make a difference.

In my Mercedes days had similar experience, found 1 particular branch, who were always helpful, when over branches of the same group were
