Window Closing

Anyone know, whether you can programme the stock key fob on a 996 to close windows and S/R automatically when you lock the car (remotely)?

It's not automatic,but if you keep you finger pressing on the key fob button it will shut any opening windows / sunroof.You can use this to leave them slightly open for air on a summers day if you wish.
I had full auto mode on a 3.2 carrera,the porsche alarm had a seperate switch on the consule that would enable this.i beleive this was dealer fitted.

Yes clubsport is spot on, you simply keep the remote control pressed down & the windows + sunroof will close untill you release the control. You can also have the alarm programmed in different ways (by your OPC) so that the doors automatically lock when you insert the key, go over 5mph etc. helpful in these sad days of carjacking.

Any 996 owners out there not realise that by setting your seat settings with the gearstick in reverse allows the passenger mirror to dip when you reverse (Good to see where the kerb is in relation to your alloy).

so thats why you didn't go for the sports seats Dazren...only works with the standard armchairs.

No only works with full electic memory seats (standard on C4S & Turbo)!!!

Thanks for the tip, but just went and tried it and it only works by turning the key anti clockwise and holding it. Remote just keeps the red light flashing although you can open the windows by keeping the button pressed after locking.

Suppose I need the key reprogrammed.
