Does the Carrera GT have 3 year's warranty?

Not possible to buy a good one for less than 200 yet.
Lots of new unsold cars for sale in the us,europe, and middle east etc, problem is the warranty starts ticking when they leave the factory, not when sold to a customer.
There are now new cars, unsold with no warranty.
They will never be cheap,to good a car,and will probably be timeless.
The cars in the uk have been for sale for ages, and not all are good cars.
I would buy one tommorow,at the right price, even with no warranty.

Only late cars will have any 2 year (not 3) warranty still running...and they seem to be high 200s still. It'll be interesting to see where these level out - I thought I'd got totally killed on mine, but whoever bought it has lost as much again...

Suspect an independant dealer writing a cheque now will pay 210/220 for one out of warranty and try to retail for 240/250.

When I bought my GT3 in june a CGT sold that day for £210K it had 6K miles on the clock the guy buying it was taking it back to europe. The problem with all of the CGT's for sale is that they owe there owners more than the current market value or so I am told by the dealer.Who wants to take a £100K hit?

The Americans get a 4 year warranty on all Porsches including the Carrera GT
we only get 2 !
But you can extend the warranty each year for £750.00
except on a Carrera GT !

+ each wheel cost £8000 to replace !

You won't get one less than 200. Lowest market retail is currently about 220-230k.

Its also the most amazing car Ive ever driven and Ive driven a Pagani
Zonda F and a Ruf R Turbo to name a few
The handling ,accleration and engine braking are its best points +
the clutch is like and on/off button and its a tight fit for a larger person
but you have to be a very good driver with some race experience/track day or
road craft training to drive it quick

I think it will end up like the 959 Porsche ... a very special car and
a car even in 10 years which will be still considered a legend

+ the noise on full chat is something that will live with you forever

Looking at the £210K paid for the one in wandsworth sub £200 is not far off. The market is limited and the Enzo won the residual war there values are going north not south(I must ad I am not a Fezza fan).
What amused me more was that on the day the CGT sold it was not the most expensive car in the showroom that honor went to a tatty yellow 74RS.
I know which would get my cash if i was in that position.

I think Enzo values are going north very slightly, but at nothing like the rate some people are advertising them for. Ask a Ferrari dealer, or Dion, and they'll tell you 550 buys a good car. When I bought my GT in June 04 I was offered an Enzo for the same number. I'm not saying some people don't pay 600 for them, but I don't think they need to.....

CGT values will surely stabilise around the 200/210 mark. They're superb value compared to something like a 575 Superamerica for 200k (albeit that is/will soon be in freefall residual wise), but how much lower can they go given that a) production has stopped, b) a Vanquish S is not that much cheaper.

I tend to agree that £200K will be the point they settle but there will always be a couple that go below that for whatever reason.what did you think to the CGT as an ownership propersition?

Few things:

1 - Great to look at and admire in the garage (black with black)
2 - Easier to drive than i'd been lead to believe (clutch OK), LHD you soon get used to
3 - In reality was v hard to drive on the roads because it had a horrible habit of grounding. Forget speed bumps, although I managed to crab across a few and look pretty stupid.
4 - Superb fun round the track.

Only had it about 6 months in the end, I got annoyed at being unable to drive it most of the time, and wasn't exactly overjoyed that the prices were in freefall at the time either.
