When you are getting a OPC done on a private sale, now does it normally work?

Does the OPC come to the house where the car is? Or do you get the current owner to take it there???

It may be a stupid question but I am having difficulty working out how to do it

Thanks

if you mean an OPC inspection, the car has to be taken to the OPC

If trader, then say you want the OPC inspection first and you will pay (they will need to take the car there or OPC pick it up) - any issues picked up will become a bargining tool to haggle the price down to cover it - downside is you pay for the inspection (£200). If nothing wrong, then bonus, stick on the warranty £700 and away you go. If any significant issues are picked up that the trader will not correct, then walk away (minus the £200 but with knowledge you didn't buy a lemon...)

Private is a tad more difficult but the same method - ask the private sellor to get it inspected and you will pay - the inspection report however is YOUR property, then same rules as above.
