just noticed when runing on 98 petrol im getting about 22mpg and on normal petrol i struggle to get 18 mpg...any notice the same..??

I never use normal unleaded.

I get 15mpg from shell optimax on average, and 9 when I'm introducing somebody to my car!

I've heard super unleaded always increases mpg, but the increased cost usually negates it, I have a 735 also and super adds two miles per gallon on the computer.

I usually use Optimax which is 98ron but this weekend I filled up with Tesco 99ron. I dont know if its my imagination but I'm sure that I got an extra 3 or 4 mpg. Would 1ron make such a difference?

or to put it another way, Porsche recommends 98RON and you might as well comply as it pays for itself in better economy!
